years of planning & integration with VANOC

In 2007, Contemporary International was engaged to provide the Event Services function for VANOC. Embedded in Venue Management, the VANOC Event Services team was instrumental in day-to-day planning for Games-time operations.   CI’s operations covered competition and non-competition venues, ensuring consistent, high quality guest services for spectators, media, athletes and others, regardless of the location.

Later, CI’s role was expanded to plan, staff and implement the Asset Protection solution for VANOC, providing trained and certified security guards across all competition and non-competition venues, 24 hours a day.

For Vancouver 2010, CI also created and led a Visitor Experience Integrated Task Team (VEITT) which was formed to ensure a memorable experience for all Olympic visitors, not only at venues, but in the city, province and country.  To achieve this, the VEITT coordinated all visitor information to support a seamless experience at the Games.
